Battle of the Bands on Ice

The Battle of the Bands contest is open to the public. Bands will be performing in the Maple Grove Ice Arena. Participants will have the option to skate while the bands are playing, or sit in the bleachers. Skate rentals are available in the arena office. Teen Bands are NEEDED! Sign up today. Any band with members 18 and under can participate! Space is limited so register early, only six bands will perform.

Date/Time:	Saturday July 12, 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Site:	Maple Grove Community Center, Ice Arena

Who:	Teen Bands ages 12 - 18

Fees:	$30.00 per band

Registration:	Bands will be chosen on a first-come first-serve basis. Contact Tanya Hilger at 763-494-6512 and ask for a Battle of the Bands registration form. You will be required to submit a tape or CD with your band's music. Space is limited so register early, only 6 bands will perform

Awards:	The top band will receive a recording session valued at $2,000.00 from the Institute of Production and Recording at Master Mix Studios in Minneapolis.

Bands must fill out a application form and mail it in before July 7, 2006. Bands must also fill out the Band Bio information sheet or contact Tanya Hilger, Youth Outreach Coordinator for Maple Grove Parks and Recreation, at 763-494-6512.
